one week and counting until pack up and bid dc a fond farewell! it feels like we've been planning forever, but we can't believe it's finally here. we've managed to do a fair amount of visiting this summer...from north carolina to iowa to georgia to new york and back! it's been a busy few months, and now we're out of time! in april it seemed like we'd have plenty of time to make all the rounds and see folks for one last visit before we take off. but all our loved ones a far flung & we've done our best, but we're missing some of you. you'll be the first stop when we're back home...(in fact, we may be looking for a temporary home with you!)
from here, we're off to nyc for some time with family, then california for a much anticipated wedding in oakland and a couple relaxing days in sunny ventura. then...first stop on the world tour...TOKYO! woohoo! stay tuned for the official itinerary!

D&D I love you guys. I miss you already and it's not even September yet. Dee Dee please save me a kiss...I guess I really do have to wait for later this time. Be safe in all you do. LEARN and take advantage of all the opportunities that arise. It's truly beautiful out there(from the little experience I had abroad). Great blog/site! With all the travelling you two did prior to your trip I am most thankful that Dawne and I were able to squeeze a dinner shortly before leaving DC. Daryll, would have loved to have seen you too, but hugs were exchanged via DD....besides we will always have a birthday that we share... Come next June, know a glass of something intoxicating (yet organic) will be raised in our honor! :o). Happy Early Birthday and Birthmonth Dawne. Travel Safe and HAVE FUNNNN! Much love to you both!
