Although, we enjoyed our time at Bahia de la Luna....we were very excited to leave. It meant that in only a couple of days we would be on a plane to Dallas, TX. Yep....we're coming home!!!!
We took our last overnight bus and landed back in Mexico City at Terminal Sur. Familiar territory now; we took the metro to one of the best diggs on our entire trip, the Sheraton Centro Historico. We used the next two days to do some serious cleaning up, cutting and shampooing our hair, shaving....etc. The next couple days were spent pretty close to the hotel as dd was still at the tail end of her bout w/ montezumas.
Well....we were on our plane back to good ole U-S-A and we were introduced to all of the new cost cutting that American Airlines is doing. Can you imagine this??...a 4 hour, international flight in the middle of the afternoon and we were told that there would be NO FOOD ON THE FLIGHT. We didn't even get a bag of peanuts. We were told that we were allowed to bring food on the plane at our own expense of course. No....it wasn't a budget flight. These flights from Mexico City to Dallas, TX cost an average $400.00 a ticket!!
Another interesting incident happened when one guy flipped out because a passenger behind him asked if he could push his seat forward (the guy behind him was quite tall). Anyway, the guy that flipped out displayed such arrogance and self-entitlement that dd and I wondered if we were even ready to enter the country.
